Sony is considering releasing a new video games console called the “Playstation 4K”. This is not a full fledged PlayStation 5 however, it will be more powerful with extra graphical firepower. The PlayStation 4.5 will support virtual reality and be compatible with the Sony PlayStation VR headset which will be released in October 2016. Unquestionably, Top Christmas toys for 2016 will include the new “PlayStation 4K.” PlayStation 5 is more than likely years away, and the PS4.5 may be set to fill the void with a major graphical processing boost.
The PS4K will support 4K gaming. The console comes with a resolution of four times the pixel size of current Full HD (1080p), which is the resolution of the current PlayStation 4. The PS4K would include an upgraded GPU to support 4K resolutions in games and superior PlayStation VR experiences – it may also be slim.
The focus is 4K content and the PS4.5 could be a new console that offers 4K video streaming for the Netflix with support for future advances in HDR and HFR. It could also hail the advent of 4K console gaming.
Sony may release the 4k-capable PS4K in time for the Christmas holidays 2016. Stay tuned for updates and reviews and 4k games!
