Flamm, an orange and white-striped monster with spiky hair, will be released in time for Christmas 2014. The Flamm Worry Eater toy is a cuddly monster designed to ‘eat’ children’s worries and is in high demand.
Amazon said the toys are already proving popular on children’s online Christmas ‘wishlists’ and predicted the Sorgenfresser Worry Eater would be among the 20 top Christmas toys for 2014.
Children are encouraged to write down or draw a picture of the things that upset them and put them in the toy’s mouth, which is zipped shut. The idea is that the process allows them to put their anxieties, perhaps a recurring nightmare, behind them and move on.
Worry Eaters toys are designed to help children deal with their anxieties. The first monster was called Saggo, however, there are now several others including Frula, Betti, Flint and Biff.
The ‘Sorgenfresser Worry Eater‘ toys were created in 2008 by German children’s TV animator Gerd Hahn and have been a success across Europe.
Worry Eaters are a must-have toy for Christmas 2014. Flam is here to eat worries and nightmares and help bridge the communication gap between parents and children. ‘Sorgenfresser Worry Eater‘ toys are suitable for all ages, give comfort and reassurance enabling a restful night’s sleep.
