Hatchimals were last year’s hottest toy, and it’s clear they’re gaining steam to be the “it” toy again for Christmas 2017. For parents whose kids were not old enough to be frantic for Hatchimals last year, they’re furry bird-like creatures reminiscent of the wildly popular Furbies of the 1990s. As their name implies, what makes these toys superior to their predecessors is their introduction to new owners via hatching out of a speckled egg. Hatchimals Glittering Garden features Sparkly Pengualas (penguin) and Shimmering Draggles (dragon) are must-have top Christmas toys!
Hatchimals manufacturer Spin Master previewed some new additions at the New York Toy Fair. The first run of Hatchimals quickly sold out last Christmas, and supplies of the new products are already getting scarce. What should you be shopping for? Parents that want to put the right toy under their tree should be looking for the new Hatchimals Glitter Garden and Hatchimals CollEGGtibles. Even if your child already has a hatchling, the Glittering Garden series comes with new songs and games (and has the added benefit of being sparkly).
Second generation Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are an ideal stocking stuffer. You can purchase individual CollEGGtibles in foil packets or in value-priced two and four-packs. The two-pack comes with a nest, and the four-pack comes with a bonus character. The CollEGGtibles are concealed by their shells, so your child won’t know which of the 70+ creatures they’ve gotten until they hatch. With limited edition characters hiding in some eggs, it will be a challenge to collect them all.
Last year Spin Master sponsored a Hatchimals Day, and it’s on the schedule again for 2017. The manufacturer is already teasing the introduction of new members of their ever-expanding Hatchimals family. This year’s Hatchimals Day will take place on October 6, ensuring a solid start to the holiday hype.
